Worker Health and Safety (WH&S) Representatives and Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) Designates

Course Format: The course format includes, nine (9 1/2) hours of classroom instruction with the visual aid of a power point presentation.

Course Objectives: To provide the Occupational Health and Safety Committees and Worker Health and Safety Representatives/Designates the basis knowledge they require to fulfill their duties and responsibilities under the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.

Course Duration: One Day and Half (1 1/2) Days

  • The legislative duties of key people involved in OH&S: Employers, Workers, OH&S Committees /WH&S Representatives/Designates, Contractors, Department of Government Services, and Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission
  • Stakeholders’ role in building a safety culture
  • Establishing “Due Diligence" in the workplace
